35-year-old hedge fund star invests in "the wonders of nature," as well as credit
Hamza Lemssouguer is the person to know in London if you're interested in credit investing. He is also the person to know if you're interested in saving and breeding parrots. And now, he is the person to know if you run an educational or wildlife conservation project in South America or Africa.

Lemssouguer and his wife Aline have launched the A&H Foundation. The foundation describes itself as working "collaboratively with local partners and communities to deliver lasting, measurable impact to advance education and preserve the wonders of nature together," and says it's rooted in the Lemssouguers' "passion for education and conservation." It aims to work with, "local communities, scientists, governments, NGOs, philanthropists, and the private sector to educate children and protect endangered species while honoring local cultures and tradition."
Hamza was a star trader at Credit in his 20s before founding hedge fund, Arini Capital Management, in 2022. Aline Lemssouguer was a vice president in credit sales at Credit Suisse between 2018 and 2023. Ken Costa, a former chair of investment banking at UBS is on A&H's board along with other London-based bankers and investors.
Lemssouguer is not the only financial services professional supporting the natural world. XTX founder Alex Gerko is investing in nature restoration. Quadrature Capital runs a climate foundation encouraging reductions in carbon emissions. James Davies, the former head of Deutsche Bank in America, has bought a house and forest in Western Massachusetts and is running natural retreats for executives in need of spiritual renewal. "If you bring your executive committee here, I will run a weekend for free,"Davies told us last year.
