Howell joined GemCorp Capital as global co-hed of business development and investor relations, based in London. In this role, GemCorp says he will be "building strategic relationships with investors and partners."

GemCorp Capital is an emerging markets investment firm focused mostly on private credit.

Howell will find some familiar faces there. The GemCorp founder is Atanas Bostandjiev, who was once Goldman's co-head of emerging markets for Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa. GemCorp Capital's president is Carey Nemeth, a "great guy" and former Goldman MD who was Eisler's COO and then briefly CEO of Eisler Capital in the US.

Howell also worked for Eisler, but only for a flash. He was in business development there for little over a year and left in 2021.
