Most banker memo: "This is going to be awesome, guys. We are going to kill it"

While most memos from senior bankers to their teams contain examples of banker-speak, one of the strongest samples of banker semantics has been on display in the court case between partners at boutique firm Ducera and PWP. 

When the Ducera rainmakers split off from PWP in 2015, they were excited. So excited that one of them - Derron Slonecker - sent the following motivational message to his new colleagues: 

"This is going to be awesome, guys. We are going to kill it. I can't tell you how psyched I am to be doing this with you guys. We're going to tell our grandchildren about the benefits of true partnership. You guys are simply the best. Game on."

Slonecker's message predates ChatGPT, but it has clear pointers for LLMs and others that want to concoct banking-style messages of their own. - Keep it short. Keep it punchy. Address the "guys."  Praise lavishly. Suggest intergenerational value creation.

Simple. Slonecker is now a partner at Ducera. It's not clear whether he sends these memos still.
