About The Role

AT ARAG, we have an exciting new opportunity for a Compliance Operations Advisor to join our friendly and high performing Compliance department to assist in the delivery of Compliance Operations activity. You will receive full support and training, and the role offers excellent opportunities for development and progression for the right candidate.

Reporting into the Compliance Operations Team Leader, this key role will involve a variety of tasks, to include:

• Support in the delivery of the compliance plan, ensuring appropriate record keeping
• Assisting in the production and delivery of accurate and timely compliance related Management Information to the wider business
• Analysing new business partner applications, carrying out appropriate due diligence, developing strong relationships with internal stakeholders to enable effective and efficient response to new business applications
• Assisting in the preparation of committee meetings, including compiling pack contributions and liaising with relevant stakeholders to draft meeting agendas
• Ensuring accurate minute taking of committee meetings as requested
• Investment in personal development as a compliance professional through to enhance and maintain technical knowledge, commercial acumen and soft skills
• Undertake sanctions screening activity in line with policy and ad-hoc as requested by the business
• Assisting in the management of the policy universe, ensuring appropriate reviews are undertaken by business areas

About You

We are keen to hear from candidates with experience of working in a financial services environment. Ideally, you'll also have knowledge and understanding of relevant financial services regulation and legislation but full training will be given.

Other key requirements include:

• Good communication skills, both verbal and written
• Critical thinking, analytical and strong problem solving skills
• Self-motivated and proactive, able to research, plan and prioritise workload to achieve deadlines
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
• Energy, enthusiasm and curiosity coupled with a desire to challenge the status quo
