IT Project Manager | Sarasota & Orlando



Overview

A growing Property & Casualty insurance organization is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead large-scale technology initiatives across both software development and infrastructure. This individual will partner closely with business leaders, technical teams, vendors, and executive stakeholders to deliver complex projects that support the company's modernization efforts.

Key Responsibilities

• Own projects throughout the full SDLC, from planning and requirements through deployment and post-launch support
• Manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously
• Define scope, timelines, dependencies, risks, and deliverables
• Partner with business and technical stakeholders to drive successful outcomes
• Lead project planning, status reporting, issue resolution, and change management activities
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with business objectives
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and project management best practices
• Provide leadership, guidance, and coordination across cross-functional teams

Ideal Background

• 6+ years of experience working with technology projects, including several years managing IT initiatives
• Strong experience with Agile, Waterfall, and Scrum methodologies
• Experience managing software development and enterprise application projects
• Exposure to cloud migrations, infrastructure modernization, systems integrations, or large-scale technology transformations
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, or similar project management tools
• Property & Casualty insurance experience preferred
• Experience with policy administration platforms, portals, or enterprise integrations is highly desirable

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP certification
• Scrum certification (CSM, PSM, or equivalent)
• Familiarity with ITIL practices
• Experience leading organizational change, risk management, and strategic initiatives
• Prior mentoring or leadership experience within project teams
