We're looking for an ambitious Insurance Broker to join our growing Manchester-based broking team, helping place specialist risks that sit outside standard insurer criteria. You'll work directly with insurer partners, manage your own portfolio of clients, build market relationships, and play a genuine role in shaping the future of a growing broker business.

What You'll Be Doing:




As an Insurance Broker, you'll be responsible for generating, placing, and managing insurance business across a range of specialist and high-risk sectors.




Key responsibilities include:

• Converting new business opportunities into sales


• Obtaining quotations from insurer panels and open-market providers


• Negotiating premiums and cover terms with insurers


• Managing policies from inception through to renewal


• Handling mid-term adjustments and customer enquiries


• Building strong relationships with clients and insurer partners


• Following up outstanding renewals and referrals


• Supporting business growth through proactive account management


• Contributing ideas to improve team performance and processes

Areas of Business:




You will work with a variety of commercial clients, including:

• Roofing Contractors


• Scaffolding Contractors


• High-Risk Trades


• Larger Plumbing Businesses


• Electricians Working at Height


• Other specialist commercial risks

What We're Looking For:

Essential:

• Insurance broking experience or transferable brokerage experience


• Strong sales and negotiation skills


• Excellent communication and relationship management abilities


• Ability to manage multiple cases and priorities


• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail


• Customer-focused approach with a commercial mindset
