Job Description

About the Role:

This is a great job to learn about the process of exams and assessment. We are a team that works quickly and carefully to ensure that our exams and our results are delivered error free.

The job will involve managing data, using both standard Office tools and systems. It will be focussed on supporting the work of the Assessment Team in the delivery of exams, supporting students and ensuring the accurate, on time delivery of results to students. We take pride in what we do and understand the value of our work to the lives of our students.

The nature of what we do means that we work carefully, quickly and without error; everything we do is underpinned by ensuring the security and confidentiality of student and exam data.

We are a team that works directly with students, other teams and third-party suppliers and are looking for people who are organised, able to manage their time effectively and communicate well and with empathy both verbally and in writing. We value inclusivity and pride ourselves on being an approachable and considerate team.

You Will:

  • Use systems to generate data used to support students.

  • Work with third party suppliers to ensure students are able to take their examinations.

  • Keep accurate records to ensure that regulatory reporting can be delivered accurately and on time.

  • Work with internal teams to ensure they are kept up to date with deadlines.

  • Support the work of the Assessment Team in delivering exam results.

  • Carry out quality assurance activities related to the development of examinations.

  • Build and format assessment and learning content in accordance with internal style guides.

  • Manage email inboxes and reply to students and tuition providers in a professional and supportive manner.

  • Carry out relevant activities to meet the needs of regulatory oversight.

You Have:

  • Proficient IT skills in a range of IT software packages, applications and in-house systems including Microsoft Word and Excel.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication, with an eye for detail and an ability to proofread.

  • Excellent planning and organisational skills and are able to prioritise your own workload and meet deadlines.

  • Previous experience of working in an administrative role.
