Accounts and Business Services Manager - City firm. Hybrid
London based Top 50 firm is looking for an experienced Manager to take responsibility for a diverse portfolio of clients, lead and develop a high-performing team, and play an active role in the continued growth of the business.
This is a client-facing role combining technical expertise, people leadership, commercial awareness and relationship management. The successful candidate will work closely with clients, providing high-quality compliance and advisory services while identifying opportunities to add value and develop existing relationships.

Responsibilities:
- Manage a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring statutory accounts, tax and other compliance work is delivered accurately and on time.
- Review statutory accounts and financial reporting, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards.
- Build strong, trusted relationships with clients and act as a key point of contact and business adviser.
- Attend client meetings, present management information and KPIs, and provide commercially focused advice.
- Identify opportunities to broaden client relationships and introduce additional services where appropriate.
- Manage WIP, billing and the commercial performance of the portfolio.
- Lead, coach and mentor team members, providing regular feedback and supporting their professional development.
- Delegate effectively and manage workloads and resources to ensure deadlines and quality standards are consistently met.
- Undertake complex assignments and specialist projects as required.
- Keep up to date with relevant technical, regulatory and industry developments.
- Contribute to wider departmental initiatives and help drive improvements across the business.
- ACA or ACCA qualification
- At least 2 years' experience at Manager level within a professional/business services environment
- Proven leadership and team management experience
- Strong client relationship and communication skills
- Commercial awareness and the ability to identify opportunities to add value
- Experience coaching and mentoring junior team members
- Excellent organisational and delegation skills
- A confident, personable and engaging approach
