Our client is a leading alternative asset manager covering the lower mid-market across the UK. The team has a substantial pot of capital available to invest in small buy-outs across Cambridge and East Anglia. To help deploy this new fund, they are seeking a senior investment professional who will be instrumental in sourcing, structuring and executing transactions, and engaging with portfolio companies post-acquisition.
RESPONSIBILITIES: - Play a key role in the fund's coverage of small buy-out opportunities in Cambridge and surrounding areas in East Anglia
- Work on all aspects of the transaction process from origination, due diligence, execution and completion, to portfolio monitoring and exit
- Make investment decisions with a high degree of autonomy, and assist other senior team members across the vehicle
YOUR PROFILE: - A background in mid-market private equity, corporate finance, or business turnaround is preferred
- You will live near Cambridge. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of the local market
- Ability to demonstrate a commercial perspective, with enthusiasm for this part of the UK mid-market
