Role purpose



Reporting to the Modelling & Performance Analysis Manager this role will work alongside the Modelling Lead and Senior Performance Analyst to uncover insights and identify emerging trends across marketing campaign performance. You will provide actionable intelligence to support our internal Marketing teams and external agencies in optimising media investment, while driving measurable improvements across multi-channel KPIs and influencing strategic business outcomes. A typical week in this role would be 60% performance analysis, 20% process improvement, reporting and automation, and 20% ad-hoc requests and personal development.




Key accountabilities



1.You'll provide in-depth analysis to SunLife marketing teams which allows for effective, data-informed decision making to improve marketing and sales performance.

2. You'll provide proactive analysis of performance trends and present findings to relevant internal stakeholders to continuously improve effectiveness (conversions) and efficiency (ROI/ROAS) across all marketing channels.

3. Produce reporting and dashboards as requested by business stakeholders with insight on channel performance - including media spend, conversion performance and profitability., ensuring all visuals align with SunLife reporting requirements.

4. You'll be aware of progress being made at SunLife towards in the world of Marketing Mix Modelling and Multi-Touch Attribution so that any reporting is reflective of the progress being made.

5. Work with external agencies to gather appropriate data to 'deep dive' into trading performance.

6. Support the Performance team with ad-hoc request from Marketing and other business stakeholders.

7. Work with the other Analysts on the team to ensure that best practice is maintained and feed through any regular reporting requirements to the Data Visualisation Manager.


Measures



1. Your analysis will demonstrate a good understanding of trading performance and key conversion metrics across all marketing channels

2. You'll consider the impact of Marketing Mix Modelling and Multi-Touch Attribution measurement in your analysis and reporting.

3. You'll design & build regular reporting on trading analysis, digital marketing and website and telephony conversion using tools such as Power BI, DataStudio and SQL Server to support decision making across the business.

4. You proactively share insight into business and marketing performance across all media channels prior to external stakeholder meetings

5. You'll be confident at knowing where to go for data to perform analysis, working with internal stakeholders to improve data access, quality, and availability to marketing data.

6. You'll love to learn and develop your analytical skills and show how you are leveraging what you're learning for the benefit of the team.

Skills and experience required

• Ability to analyse a marketing campaign activity• An awareness of digital and offline marketing channels (Google Ads, Meta, Email) and website measurement tools (Google Analytics)

• Ability to manage internal and external stakeholders

• Demonstrable awareness of current trends and best practices in digital marketing and data visualisation, with a clear enthusiasm to question the norm

• Knowledge and experience in data visualisation tools such as Google Data Studio or Power BI

• You'll be naturally inquisitive with a drive to learn new things

• Advanced Excel knowledge, and comfortable working within the Microsoft ecosystem

• Understanding of working in regulated environment (desirable)

• Working knowledge of SQL, Python, or R (desirable)

• Understanding of Media Mix Modelling or Econometric modelling (desirable)
