What You'll Be Doing- Prepare, review and submit VAT returns and related indirect tax filings across multiple EMEA jurisdictions.
- Manage Intrastat reporting requirements and support VAT registrations across international markets.
- Partner with finance, accounting and operational teams to provide VAT compliance guidance and resolve complex tax queries.
- Perform month-end VAT reconciliations and support internal and external audits through detailed data analysis.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, increase efficiency and enhance compliance controls.
- Contribute to the development of tax requirements for technology teams and support automation initiatives.
- Lead and participate in cross-functional projects focused on process optimisation and in-house capability development.
- Support business growth by onboarding new entities into established VAT compliance frameworks.
- Bachelor's degree in Tax, Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
- Strong experience within VAT compliance or indirect tax advisory.
- Good understanding of EMEA VAT legislation and compliance obligations.
- Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large datasets.
- experience using AI-enabled tools and modern technologies to improve efficiency.
- Fluent English communication skills.
- Professional accounting or tax qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, AAT or equivalent).
- Additional European language skills such as German, French, Spanish or Italian.
- experience using Alteryx, Qlik, Power BI or workflow automation tools.
- Proven ability to take ownership, drive change and solve complex problems.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, international environment with competing priorities.
