Job Description
Compliance - Governance and Oversight is responsible for the design and maintenance of the compliance function governance and oversight frameworks. The team assists in developing compliance strategy and performs a control tower governance and oversight role on the Bank's compliance program. The team also maintains compliance policies, procedures and guidelines at the function-wide level.
Lead a team to provide effective governance oversight and support for the regulatory compliance functions of Overseas Banking Entities (OBEs), ensuring alignment with Group Compliance frameworks, regulatory requirements, and governance standards.

Job Description
Compliance - Governance and Oversight is responsible for the design and maintenance of the compliance function governance and oversight frameworks. The team assists in developing compliance strategy and performs a control tower governance and oversight role on the Bank's compliance program. The team also maintains compliance policies, procedures and guidelines at the function-wide level.
Lead a team to provide effective governance oversight and support for the regulatory compliance functions of Overseas Banking Entities (OBEs), ensuring alignment with Group Compliance frameworks, regulatory requirements, and governance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and guide team members to deliver high-quality compliance oversight and support.
- Drive consistent implementation of Group Compliance frameworks, policies, and procedures across OBEs.
- Assess key compliance risks, issues, and regulatory developments, and ensure timely escalation with clear impact and recommendations.
- Review team outputs, including assessments, documentation, and reports, to ensure completeness, accuracy, and adherence to standards.
- Oversee tracking of issues and remediation actions, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Work closely with Head Office and OBE stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective resolution of compliance matters.
- Lead or support strategic initiatives and continuous improvement efforts to enhance compliance governance and processes.
- Degree or equivalent professional qualification.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in regulatory compliance, risk management, or related areas within financial services.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance risk management.
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver within timelines.
- Professional compliance certification (e.g. ICA) is an advantage.
- Familiarity with data analytics and reporting tools.
- Awareness of AI / GenAI applications to enhance compliance monitoring, analysis, and reporting.
