We are partnering with a leading global financial services to appoint an experienced Regulatory & Trade Reporting Operations Analyst to join its Operations team on a 6 months contract.
This role is ideal for an operations professional with strong MAS Trade Repository Reporting (TRR) experience who has supported regulatory reporting, business analysis, data reconciliation, and change initiatives within an asset management or financial services environment.
Key Responsibilities Regulatory & Trade Reporting- Support business and data requirements for Trade Repository Reporting (TRR), with a strong focus on MAS regulatory reporting and exposure to EMIR reporting.
- Analyse end-to-end trade reporting processes, including trade capture, enrichment, validation, submission, reconciliation, exception management, and regulatory responses.
- Support regulatory remediation initiatives arising from audits, internal reviews, or regulatory changes.
- Gather, analyse, and document business and functional requirements across Operations, Compliance, Risk, Technology, and external service providers.
- Conduct impact assessments covering business processes, data flows, systems, and controls.
- Produce high-quality business requirements documentation and ensure stakeholder sign-off.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to support project delivery and implementation timelines.
- Analyse trade, valuation, lifecycle, and counterparty data to ensure regulatory reporting accuracy and completeness.
- Perform reconciliations between internal platforms, vendors, and trade repositories to investigate reporting breaks and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist in defining controls, exception management processes, and reconciliation frameworks for regulatory reporting.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), model office testing, and regulatory reporting enhancement projects.
- Develop test scenarios, execute testing, and validate outcomes against regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and maintain process documentation, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and future-state process maps.
- Ensure documentation is audit-ready and aligned with internal governance standards.
- Collaborate with Operations, Technology, Compliance, Risk, and third-party vendors throughout project delivery.
- Track project actions, risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Provide ad-hoc reporting and analysis to support regulatory reporting initiatives.
- Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years' experience within Operations in Asset Management, Investment Management, Banking, or Financial Services.
- Mandatory hands-on experience with MAS Trade Repository Reporting (TRR).
- Experience supporting MAS regulatory reporting and exposure to EMIR reporting.
- Strong understanding of post-trade operations and the complete trade lifecycle.
- Experience performing business analysis, requirements gathering, process mapping, and impact assessments.
- Strong data analysis and reconciliation skills with the ability to investigate reporting discrepancies across multiple systems.
- Experience supporting regulatory change programmes, remediation initiatives, or system implementations.
- Experience with investment platforms such as Aladdin, Multifonds, or similar trade and operations platforms would be advantageous.
- Strong understanding of regulatory reporting and Trade Repository Reporting processes.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and strong control mindset.
- Ability to work with large datasets across multiple systems.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience working across Operations, Technology, Compliance, Risk, and external vendors.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Please note: Candidates must have hands-on experience with MAS Trade Repository Reporting (TRR). Applications without direct MAS TRR experience are unlikely to be considered.
