The organisation supports asset managers, investment funds and institutional investors through a broad range of fund and asset servicing solutions across multiple markets.

As part of its continued expansion in Asia, the group is establishing a new Singapore operation and is building out its local governance, compliance and financial crime capabilities. This represents an opportunity to join the business at an early stage and contribute directly to the development of its Singapore platform.

Description

• Act as the local Head of Compliance and MLRO, overseeing regulatory compliance, AML/CFT and financial crime matters for the Singapore business and its administered funds.
• Establish and maintain compliance frameworks, risk assessments, monitoring programmes and control plans appropriate to the business and individual fund structures.
• Review and investigate suspicious activity, higher-risk relationships, PEPs, sanctions and other financial crime matters, ensuring appropriate escalation and reporting.
• Lead regulatory engagement, including responses to regulatory enquiries, inspections, questionnaires, audits and ongoing regulatory developments.
• Develop and maintain local policies and procedures while working closely with regional and global Compliance teams to ensure alignment with group standards.

Profile

• Minimum 8 years of relevant Compliance and AML/CFT experience within financial services, ideally gained within fund administration, asset servicing, securities services, trust services or investment management.
• Prior experience acting as an MLRO, Deputy MLRO or Compliance professional with direct responsibility for suspicious activity investigations, higher-risk clients and AML controls.
• Good understanding of Singapore regulatory requirements and experience dealing directly with regulators, audits or supervisory reviews.
• Strong knowledge of fund structures, fund services or institutional investment businesses, with the ability to assess regulatory and financial crime risks across different client and fund arrangements.
