What you'll do:
As a Foreign Exchange and Commodities Trade Analyst based in Singapore, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the APAC Equity Derivative Settlements team. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve liaising with clients on settlement matters, resolving trade discrepancies collaboratively with various departments, ensuring payment system accuracy, and acting as a dependable point of contact for client inquiries. You will also engage in process improvement projects that foster communal growth within the team.
- Liaise directly with clients regarding trade settlement issues, including confirmation of settlement amounts, exchanging standard settlement instructions (SSIs), and finalising settlement arrangements in a polite and considerate manner.
- Follow up on resolution of trade discrepancies by connecting with clients, trade control teams, and front office colleagues to ensure accurate outcomes.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of settlement details within payment systems by carefully reviewing all relevant information before processing transactions.
- Act as the main point of contact for clients on payment inquiries, providing empathetic support and clear communication throughout the process.
- Control, monitor, and resolve settlements or system breaks status by collaborating with internal teams to maintain smooth operations.
- Work closely with Legal, Credit, and Front Office teams to address documentation-related queries in a responsive and cooperative way.
- Participate actively in projects and process improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency within the team.
- Support the Equity Derivatives Settlements function across the APAC region by sharing knowledge and nurturing positive relationships with stakeholders.
- Maintain high standards of compliance by understanding operational risk frameworks such as Reg W, Client Money Protection, and Funding requirements.
