THE MARKET & LIQUIDITY RISK MANAGEMENT IS RESPONSIBLE FOR IDENTIFYING, MONITORING, AND MANAGING MARKET AND LIQUIDITY RISKS TO ENSURE THE BANK'S FINANCIAL SOUNDNESS AND REGULATORY COMPLIANCE. THE TEAM WORKS CLOSELY WITH SENIOR MANAGEMENT, RELEVANT BRANCH TEAMS INCLUDING BUSINESS UNITS, HEAD OFFICE, AND APAC STAKEHOLDERS TO STRENGTHEN THE BANK'S RISK MANAGEMENT FRAMEWORK AND SUPPORT SUSTAINABLE BUSINESS GROWTH.
Job Responsibilities
- Deliver risk management oversight and advisory support for markets business activities and senior management decision-making.
- Strengthen and continuously enhance the Market and Liquidity Risk management framework in line with industry best practices, local regulatory requirements, and Head Office / APAC standards.
- Establish and maintain robust risk governance, including policies, risk appetite/limit structures, escalation protocols, and high-quality management reporting.
- Monitor and analyze risk exposures and escalate emerging risks promptly with clear recommendations.
- Lead key risk processes such as stress testing/scenario analysis, periodic risk reviews, and independent assessment of new products or business initiatives (as applicable).
- Lead and develop the Seoul Market & Liquidity Risk management team, setting clear accountabilities, strengthening technical capabilities, and fostering a culture of integrity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Maintain a dual reporting structure, with a direct reporting line to Seoul Branch Management and a dotted-line reporting relationship to the Head of Risk Management Department, APAC.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or related disciplines.
- Minimum 15 years' of progressive experience in Markets, Treasury, and/or Liquidity management (or equivalent).
- Professional certificates such as CFA, FRM are preferred. IT/AI knowledge is an advantage.
- Strong English proficiency (written and spoken) for client communication, documentation and reporting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to manage stakeholders and work effectively across multiple functions.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and the ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Unrestricted authorization to work in Korea is required.
