About the Role

IG is growing its retail KYC team in Kraków, and this role is the entry point into client onboarding and financial crime prevention at IG. As a KYC Associate, you'll be a first point of contact for new retail clients, helping them onboard smoothly while keeping IG compliant and protected.

About the Team

This role sits within the KYC team, reporting into the KYC Team Lead / Manager. The team onboards new retail clients and performs ongoing KYC checks across IG's retail client base, working closely with Compliance, Sales, and wider Operations to keep onboarding fast, accurate, and low-risk.

Key Responsibilities

Support end-to-end onboarding of new retail clients, verifying documentation and completing KYC checks in line with policy and regulatory requirements.

Act as a client-facing point of contact for client queries and complaints related to onboarding and KYC, resolving straightforward cases and escalating complex ones where needed.

Identify exceptions and discrepancies in retail account opening processes and escalate to senior colleagues.

Maintain accurate, audit-ready records of KYC checks and client interactions.

Adhere to agreed KPIs, SLAs, and quality standards.

Support quality checks on the account opening process and help address any gaps identified.

Stay up to date with relevant AML/KYC policies and procedures, applying updates to day-to-day work.

Flag risks, process gaps, or system issues observed during onboarding to the team lead.

Role Requirements

Experience in a client-facing, customer service, or administrative role; up to 1 year in KYC/AML or financial services is a plus.

Willingness and aptitude to quickly learn KYC/AML principles and retail client onboarding processes.

Confident, clear communicator, comfortable handling client queries.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Problem-solving mindset, with good judgement on when to escalate.

Good working knowledge of MS Excel.

Ability to manage a varied workload against KPIs and SLAs.

Fluent written and spoken English.

Desirable

Prior experience in financial services or a regulated industry.

Exposure to KYC/AML systems or case management tools.

Experience handling client complaints or resolving service issues.

Experience supporting internal or external audit requests.

Experience using AI tools to support day-to-day work.
