The job is part of the Business Insights & Control department within the ASML finance organization. Within this department, we are looking for a Business Controller within our Capital Efficiency team. He or she reports into the team lead of Inventory Control and will interact with various departments in and outside of Finance.
ASML is continuously developing new ways to achieve its sustainability goals and driving the affordability of our Lithography systems. The continued growth of ASML requires strong control of inventory performance, working capital and inventory-related financial outcomes. Within the Business Insights & control (BI&C) capital efficiency team, Inventory control plays a key role in supporting effective inventory management through financial planning, performance management and governance.
This role offers a unique opportunity to take ownership of key inventory management processes and work closely with senior stakeholders across Finance and Inventory Operations.

Job mission
- Acts as finance business partner the area of inventory management.
Create transparency into inventory performance, working capital drivers, risk and opportunities for management and operational stakeholders. - Support Finance Business Partner with inventory-related analyses, planning assumptions, reporting and decision support.
- Support Inventory Operations in achieving inventory targets through performance reviews, analyses and governance processes.
- Drive and coordinate monthly, quarterly, and yearly planning and performance management cycles and enabling insights in backward looking (actuals) and forward looking (forecast and R&O) to drive high-quality decision making by the business.
- Strengthen inventory governance and contribute to effective inventory steering and decision-making across ASML.
- Identify and implement improvements that enhance inventory planning, forecasting quality, reporting transparency and process effectiveness.
- Drive continuous improvement and automation initiatives to increase efficiency, standardization and transparency within inventory management processes
- Monitor inventory performance, working capital developments and inventory-related financial outcomes.
- Support inventory target setting and translate operational developments into financial implications.
- Work closely with different stakeholders in different departments such as Planning and Delivery and the Re-use and Repair organization to understand inventory drivers and support effective steering.
- Coordinate and support monthly, quarterly and yearly inventory planning and performance management cycles.
- Actively contribute to improvement initiatives related to inventory governance, ways of working and process standardization.
- Support knowledge sharing, continuity and documentation within the Inventory Control team
- Contribute to team development through knowledge sharing, onboarding and coaching of interns.
Your profile
Education and Experience:
- Master degree, preferably in the area of Finance or Business administration
- +10 Years of working experience in Business Control, Supply chain finance, inventory management or comparable finance roles.
- Strong understanding of financial planning, forecasting and performance management processes.
- Experience supporting operational stakeholders and translating business drivers into financial impact.
- Proven track record in driving process improvements
- Experience working in a complex international and matrix-driven environment
- Strong experience with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with SAP, SAC, Spotfire or similar reporting tools is considered a plus.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills, being able to influence without hierarchical power, and creative in managing a large and diverse range of stakeholders;
- Maintain personal effectiveness and people focus under pressure;
- Able to deal with complexity in a changing and uncertain business environment,Team player, enjoys working in multidisciplinary and multicultural teams with the ability to work independently.

- Fluent in English verbally and written
