Private Investment Analyst Tokyo Public Equity VP

Join a global investment fund as a Private Investment Analyst in Tokyo, focusing on private investments in Japanese public equities.

This is a senior-level opportunity (VP to Director) where you will play a key role in investment sourcing and execution, working closely with internal stakeholders to identify and deliver high-value investment opportunities. The role offers strong exposure to the Japanese market within a growing, dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead investment sourcing activities across Japanese public equity opportunities
  • Execute investment transactions from evaluation through to completion
  • Conduct financial analysis and support investment decision-making
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop investment strategies
  • Monitor market trends and identify new investment opportunities
  • Engage with stakeholders to support deal execution and portfolio development
Required Skills and Qualifications Experience:
  • 7+ years of experience in investment banking or asset management
  • Experience in investment analysis and transaction execution
  • Strong understanding of Japanese equity markets
Soft Skills:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • High level of ownership and accountability
Language Requirements:
  • English: Business level
  • Japanese: Native level
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience in private investments or special situations
  • Exposure to public equity investment strategies
