Key Responsibilities
- Independent Price Verification (IPV): Conduct monthly independent price verification across credit-trading products (e.g., bonds, loans, CDS, CLNs) and other illiquid products using external market benchmarks and financial models.
- Front-Office Engagement: Communicate regularly with trading desks to convey valuation results, challenge pricing inputs, and discuss marking methodologies.
- Model Review & Analytics: Review valuation and risk models in close collaboration with quantitative model developers.
- Process & Automation: Enhance and streamline existing valuation workflows, contributing to continuous infrastructure upgrades, cross-product standardization, and regulatory deliverables.
- Market Monitoring: Actively track global financial market trends, assessing their impact on the firm's portfolios and risk exposure.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Financial Engineering, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, or a related quantitative/business discipline.
- Experience: 2-3 years of relevant experience in Valuation Risk Control, Product Control, Financial Risk Management, or Big 4 Valuation / Financial Services Audit.
- Product Knowledge: Solid understanding of Credit-related products (bonds, credit default swaps, loans, CLNs) or Fixed Income products.
- Technical Skills: Strong quantitative and analytical capabilities with proficiency in Excel and financial data applications.
- Languages & Communication: Excellent written and spoken English skills are essential; fluency in Mandarin is highly desirable to facilitate stakeholder communication.
- Attributes: High attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the agility to adapt in a dynamic market environment.
