Our client is a well-established organisation currently undergoing a large-scale digital transformation programme. To support the delivery of business-critical applications and platforms, they are seeking a Senior Software QA Engineer to join their technology team and drive software quality across multiple initiatives.

Your new role

• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for enterprise applications and transformation initiatives.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, and system testing to ensure application quality and stability.
• Design and maintain automated test scripts to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
• Work closely with developers, business analysts, and project teams to identify, investigate, and resolve software defects.
• Participate in requirement reviews and provide testing input throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Support test execution for new system implementations, enhancements, and migration projects.
• Document test results, defects, and testing activities in accordance with project standards.
• Assist in improving testing processes, automation coverage, and overall software quality practices.
• Support testing and production rollout activities where required.

What you'll need to succeed

• Bachelor's Degree or above in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 4-5 years of experience in Software Development, Software Testing, Quality Assurance, or related disciplines.
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience in automation testing, preferably using Java or JavaScript.
• Experience developing and maintaining automated test scripts and test frameworks for enterprise applications.
• Hands-on experience with some of the common testing tools such as Selenium, JMeter, Cypress, Appium, Postman, TestNG, JUnit, or similar technologies.
• Experience performing functional, integration, regression, and system testing across web-based system or applications.
• Good understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and software testing best practices.
• Knowledge of defect tracking and test management tools such as Jira or similar solutions.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proficient in spoken and written Chinese, and is currently based in Hong Kong with a valid work permit.
