Our client, a leading insurer, is looking for a Product Owner to lead and design digital products for the APAC region.

Responsibilities

1. Spearhead the overall strategic roadmap for mobile app solutions across regional territories, elevating digital adoption and expanding recurring business value.
2. Formulate consumer-facing capabilities focused on self-service policy administration and automated claims processing to optimize user retention and customer sentiment.
3. Guide multi-disciplinary engineering, UI/UX, and operational units through iterative sprint cycles using Scrum methodologies.
4. Maintain central authority over the multi-market product backlog, balancing local business requests against corporate financial objectives.
5. Monitor key digital analytics, including monthly active usage, automated processing rates, and App Store ratings, to drive continuous product refinement.
6. Oversee financial allocations and build costs for individual features, safeguarding profitability targets and overall return on investment.
7. Build strong consensus across regional executive boards, local country leadership, and external consulting partners to maintain unified delivery focus.
8. Establish standardized product management frameworks that accelerate delivery speed and instill a strong customer-first culture across all markets.

Requirements

1. Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a technical discipline.
2. 10 years + product ownership experience within tech-forward enterprises, FinTechs, or corporate financial institutions, preferably in the insurance domain.
3. At least 7 years dedicated to building consumer mobile apps, with specific subject-matter expertise in modernizing claims and policy servicing journeys.
4. Solid experience in leading cross-functional delivery teams through Agile, Scrum, and modern product management workflows.
5. Strong business instincts paired with a track record of managing delivery budgets, feature profitability, and revenue goals across diverse Asian markets.
6. Outstanding interpersonal skills with a proven capacity to align multicultural teams, overcome organizational friction, and present to senior leaders.
7. Complete fluency in spoken and written English.
