Job Description
As a Leverage Finance Associate (M&A GP), your main responsibilities will include:
- Lead and support acquisition financing for new investments (LBOs), including structuring, lender engagement, and execution
- Build and run financing and capital structure models (leverage, returns, sensitivities)
- Manage relationships with banks, direct lenders, and debt investors
- Evaluate and negotiate financing terms (pricing, covenants, documentation)
- Execute refinancing, recapitalizations, and liability management for portfolio companies
- Monitor capital markets conditions and provide insights to investment teams
A successful Leverage Finance Associate (M&A GP) should have:
- A degree in finance, economics, business administration, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in Leveraged Finance / DCM / Credit (bulge bracket or leading financial institutions)
- Strong understanding of debt products, capital structures, and credit analysis
- Solid financial modeling skills (LBO / financing models)
- Experience working on leveraged transactions preferred
- Strong communication skills, native in English and Mandarin is a must.
- A permanent role in a reputable financial services organization.
- Exposure to high-profile M&A transactions in the banking and financial services industry.
