We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Manager Strategy, Engagement and Governance .

Principal responsibilities
  • Provide risk and control expertise advice and guidance on the Bank's Operational Risk Management Framework through subject matter expertise.
  • Execute high quality and efficient reviews of risks and controls performance.
  • Make considered decisions that protect and enhance HSBC values, reputation, and business.
  • Support the creation and maintenance of controls, issues, and actions across Asia Pacific countries.
  • Support robust risk governance and ensure all stakeholders have visibility of key risks, the state of the control environment and remediation activities.
  • Support the project implementation across Asia Pacific countries.
  • Support the creation of the management information function creation



  • Practical experience of identifying and managing risks and issues, as well as challenging the issue owner about the proposed actions is highly preferred.
  • Experience within a global organization, and working across borders and different cultures will be an advantage.
  • Ability to distil complex and varied information into useful, insightful and concise recommendations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a proven ability to collaborate effectively and confidently at all levels.
  • Ability to present complex issues confidently and concisely, using simple language and accommodating globally distributed stakeholders. Seems the same as the previous point
  • Proactive and delivery focused to ensure individual tasks are completed on time and to the required levels of quality.
