Team Head, Local Corporates (Global Banking)

Overview
Our client is a well-established bank with a growing corporate banking platform in Hong Kong. The bank is seeking an experienced banking professional to lead its Hong Kong Coverage team.
Reporting to the Head of Global Banking, the successful candidate will be responsible for driving business development, managing key client relationships, and delivering a full suite of banking solutions including corporate lending, syndicated finance, transaction banking, treasury, and trade finance products.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a portfolio of Hong Kong large corporate clients and certain MNC portfolio.
• Originate and deepen relationships with large corporates and listed companies or multinational corporates.
• Develop and execute client acquisition strategies to achieve revenue and asset growth targets.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for senior client stakeholders, including CFOs, Treasurers, and business owners.
• Prepare credit proposals and work closely with risk management teams to obtain approvals.
• Lead, coach, and develop relationship managers within the local coverage team.

Requirements

• Degree holder in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related disciplines.
• Minimum 10-15 years of corporate banking experience, with significant exposure to Hong Kong corporate coverage.
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing relationship managers or coverage teams.
• Strong credit analysis and deal structuring capabilities.
• Fluent in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese.
