We are seeking a strong Network Engineer who focusses on designing, delivering, and supporting high-performance, low-latency networks for electronic trading across APAC for one of our Well-Known Investment Banking clients.

Your new role

• Design and engineer low-latency network solutions for client and exchange connectivity.
• Develop architectures covering LAN, WAN, data-centre, co-location, and market data distribution environments.
• Lead network projects from initial requirements gathering and solution design through implementation and handover.
• Produce clear, accurate, and high-quality technical documentation.
• Collaborate with internal engineering teams, technology departments, project managers, exchanges, carriers, and external vendors.
• Provide Level 4 engineering support for major incidents as part of a global follow-the-sun support model.
• Analyse complex network issues and drive problems through to resolution.
• Act as a subject-matter expert and provide technical guidance to engineers and business stakeholders.
  
  What you'll need to succeed
  
  
• 7+ of experience in a comparable network engineering role within financial services or another high-performance, business-critical environment.
• Demonstrable experience designing and supporting low-latency networks.
• Expert-level understanding of routing and switching technologies, including BGP, OSPF, Spanning Tree Protocol etc
• In-depth knowledge of LAN, WAN, data-centre, and co-location network architectures.
• Familiarity with market data distribution networks and electronic trading infrastructure.
• Experience with low-latency network optimisation, performance analysis, and resiliency design.
• CCNP-level knowledge or equivalent practical experience; CCIE or CCDE certification is desirable.
