Investment Technology Delivery Manager – Leading Global Financial Institution

1. Our client, a leading global financial institution, is seeking an experienced Investment Technology Delivery Manager to drive the delivery and enhancement of strategic investment technology platforms across investment, risk, compliance, and operational functions.
2. This highly visible role requires a strong combination of investment technology expertise, stakeholder management, solution delivery, and technical leadership. The successful candidate will work closely with business users, architects, developers, and technology partners to deliver scalable solutions that support evolving investment business and regulatory requirements.
3. This role initially starts as a 12-month contract position, with a view to extend or convert into a permanent role.

As an Investment Technology Delivery Manager , you will be responsible for:

1. Lead the delivery and implementation of investment technology initiatives, ensuring solutions meet business objectives, architecture standards, and operational requirements.
2. Partner with business stakeholders to gather, analyse, and translate requirements into functional and technical solutions.
3. Drive solution design discussions and collaborate with architects and technical teams to leverage modern technologies and best practices.
4. Manage project planning, budgeting, resource allocation, execution, testing, deployment, and post-implementation support activities.
5. Lead and coordinate technical delivery resources, including developers, architects, service providers, and project team members.
6. Ensure all delivery activities comply with organisational technology governance, security, architecture, and risk management standards.
7. Manage relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure successful project outcomes and service delivery.
8. Oversee application acquisition, implementation, testing, release, and deployment activities in accordance with established policies and standards.
9. Provide regular project governance, status reporting, risk management, and stakeholder communications throughout the project lifecycle.
10. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance platform stability, scalability, efficiency, and user experience.

To be considered for this role as an Investment Technology Delivery Manager , you possess the following:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
2. Minimum 7 years of experience in technology delivery, application development, project management, or technical leadership roles within the investment, asset management, wealth management, banking, or financial services sector.
3. Hands-on experience delivering or supporting investment-related technology platforms and applications.
4. Strong understanding of investment business processes across areas such as portfolio management, trading, investment operations, risk, compliance, or related financial services functions.
5. Proven experience managing end-to-end project delivery across multiple stakeholders and technology teams.
6. Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies and technology governance frameworks.
7. Experience managing vendors, service providers, and distributed project teams.
8. Ability to convert business requirements into scalable technical and functional solutions.
9. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
10. Resourceful, proactive, independent, and results-oriented mindset with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.

Preferred Experience:

1. Experience within investment management, asset management, pension, insurance investment, securities, or capital markets environments.
2. Exposure to investment risk, compliance, portfolio management, trading, market data, or investment operations platforms.
3. Familiarity with cloud technologies, solution architecture, artificial intelligence, automation, or digital transformation initiatives.
4. Knowledge of technologies such as Java, .NET, JSON, Visual Basic, APIs, or enterprise integration frameworks.
5. Professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, cloud certifications, solution architecture certifications, CFA, or risk-related qualifications.
