A leading enterprise organization is expanding its digital delivery capabilities and is looking for a Digital Project Manager to oversee a portfolio of software development and AI-driven initiatives. This role sits at the intersection of business, technology, and offshore delivery management, providing an excellent opportunity to drive innovative digital transformation projects across multiple business functions. The successful candidate will work closely with local stakeholders, offshore development teams based in Shenzhen, and third-party partners to ensure projects are delivered effectively while helping shape future digital and AI capabilities within the organization.

Due to the close collaboration with the offshore development team, the role is based in Hong Kong and requires 2 days per week of day-trip travel to the Shenzhen office for project delivery, stakeholder engagement, and project team management.

Your new role

• Manage end-to-end delivery of software development, digital transformation, and AI implementation projects.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including developers, business analysts, data professionals, AI engineers, and external vendors.
• Drive project planning, scope management, resource allocation, risk management, and project governance activities.
• Monitor project progress, delivery quality, timelines, budgets, and dependencies across multiple initiatives.
• Work closely with offshore development teams to ensure alignment, productivity, and successful project execution.
• Facilitate communication between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating business requirements into actionable project plans.
• Prepare project status updates, executive reports, and presentation materials for senior leadership.
• Support Agile delivery practices and continuous improvement initiatives across project teams.
• Identify opportunities to leverage AI technologies to enhance business processes, operational efficiency, and customer experience.
• Foster strong collaboration between Hong Kong and offshore teams to build a high-performance delivery culture.

What you'll need to succeed

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in IT Project Management, Digital Project Management, or Software Delivery Management etc.
• Proven track record managing software development or AI/machine learning projects throughout the full project lifecycle.
• Experience working with Agile, Scrum, or hybrid delivery models.
• Hands-on experience managing offshore development teams is preferable; and previous experience working with China-based offshore teams will be an advantage.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across both business and technical audiences.
• Experience managing external vendors, delivery partners, and resource augmentation teams.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment.
• PMP, Prince2, Agile, Scrum Master, or equivalent project management certifications are advantageous.
• Fluent English and Chinese (Cantonese & Mandarin) communication skills are required.
