Our client is a multinational life insurance company in Hong Kong. The company is actively preparing IFRS 17 implementation, and there is an exciting opportunity for a candidate to join their IFRS 17 team, work with top-tier accounting professions in the industry and contribute to the multi-year IFRS 17 transformation.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for finance project regarding to IFRS 17
  • Study and suggest adjustment in expense reporting under IFRS 17
  • Review financial statements, data requirements, P&L and balance sheet results under IFRS 17, make recommendations for improvement
  • Perform necessary gap analysis and lead the building of new financial systems for the new standard
  • Coordinate different stakeholders and drive changes, facilitate transition process, and identify any risk during implementation
  • Establilsh the management information and financial analytical framework on IFRS 17 and IFRS 9
  • Keep abreast of the latest reporting requirement and updates

Job Requirements

  • Degree holder with a recognized professional accounting qualification
  • 5-10 years relevant experience preferably gained with life insurance companies or accounting consultancies
  • Experience in financial accounting function in insurance industry or audit working experience
  • Knowledge in IFRS 17, IFRS 4 and IFRS 9 is an advantange
  • Good time management on handling the projects
  • Good communication skills
