Key Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end trade processing for APAC cash equity markets, ensuring accuracy and timeliness for both domestic and international clients.
- Manage all post-trade lifecycle events, including trade amendments, allocations, confirmations, and final settlement.
- Perform daily reconciliations between internal front-office systems and external counterparty records to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Partner directly with the trading desk to troubleshoot operational bottlenecks, provide real-time support, and suggest workflow optimizations.
- Ensure strict adherence to all regulatory standards, internal policies, and risk control frameworks.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, promoting a high-performance culture and knowledge-sharing environment.
- Identify opportunities for process digitization and automation, championing initiatives that reduce manual intervention and operational risk.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, brokers, and custodian banks regarding trade-related queries and issue resolution.
- Prepare and present regular reports on operational metrics, risk exposures, and settlement performance to senior management.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years' relevant experience within a Middle Office, Trade Support, or Post-Trade Operations environment (cash equities experience is highly preferred).
- Solid understanding of Asian equity market structures, settlement conventions, and clearing systems.
- Hands-on experience with major trading platforms and settlement utilities.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to diagnose complex issues quickly and propose practical solutions.
- Proven leadership capabilities-able to influence peers and drive efficiency gains without direct hierarchical authority.
- Technical proficiency in Excel (advanced functions, pivots, macros) and familiarity with SQL or other data analysis tools is a distinct advantage.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with fluency in English (additional Asian languages are a plus for regional engagement).
