Senior Accountant

Responsibilities As a Senior Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in the financial operations of the company. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Preparing financial statements and ensuring accuracy.
• Collaborating with tax advisers on Income Tax and VAT matters.
• Coordinating with auditors across multiple jurisdictions (Cyprus, Luxembourg, Switzerland, etc.).
• Managing back-office functions, including daily bank reconciliations and posting of daily trades.
• Recalculating coupon income, dividends, interest income, and expenses.
• Handling general accounting and bookkeeping duties for Cyprus and other group companies.
• Providing financial analysis support for transactions.
• Preparing management reports, including quarterly accounts, NAVs, and other financial documents.

Qualifications To excel in this role, you should meet the following criteria:

• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, ideally gained at a Top 4 Audit & Accounting Firm or a Top-Tier Fiduciary/Corporate Services provider.
• Fully qualified ACCA/ACA or equivalent certification.
• A degree from a well-respected university.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS.
• Familiarity with tax compliance (VAT/Income Tax) is an advantage.
• Back-office experience is a strong plus but not mandatory.
• A solid background in financial reporting.
• A genuine interest in accounting, coupled with excellent analytical skills.
• Experience with Business Central or similar accounting systems is a plus.
• Highly motivated to work within an investment-focused environment.
• A strong team player with a collaborative mindset.

Day-to-Day Your typical day will involve:

• Preparing and reviewing financial documents to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Liaising with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors and tax advisers.
• Managing daily financial operations and reconciling accounts.
• Supporting the management team with financial analysis and reporting.
• Collaborating with colleagues to ensure seamless financial processes across the organization.
