Your new role
As the SAP Architect, you will provide architecture leadership and continuity while the Principal SAP Architect is on extended leave. This is a five-month fixed-term opportunity, working three days per week in a hybrid arrangement. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing architecture guidance across SAP systems, services and integrations
- Reviewing proposed solutions and designs to identify risks, dependencies and improvement opportunities
- Supporting the design and delivery of SAP initiatives, enhancements and integrations
- Ensuring solutions consider security, data, performance, resilience and ongoing operational requirements
- Working with business stakeholders, delivery teams, vendors and technical specialists to develop practical solutions
- Maintaining architecture decisions, design principles and technical documentation
- Providing timely advice on architecture issues, risks and exceptions
- Supporting knowledge transfer and a smooth handover at the end of the engagement
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Demonstrated experience in a senior SAP architecture role within a complex organisation
- Strong knowledge of SAP solution architecture, integration patterns and enterprise architecture principles
- Experience reviewing solution designs and guiding delivery teams through architectural decisions
- The ability to translate business and technical requirements into clear, practical and supportable solutions
- Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and problem-solving skills
- The ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively within a part-time role
- A five-month fixed-term opportunity
- Part-time hours of three days per week
