The Opportunity
- An established global consumer business is seeking an experienced e-commerce & Marketing Manager to lead its e-commerce strategy across Australia.
- This is a senior, high-autonomy position with the opportunity to shape the future of a recognised consumer brand, lead a specialist e-commerce team and deliver measurable online growth across Amazon, major marketplaces and the company's direct-to-consumer website.
- Following a period of business transformation, the organisation is entering an exciting growth phase with several significant product and technology launches planned. The successful candidate will bring the strategic capability, commercial judgement and practical e-commerce expertise needed to strengthen the function and build momentum across multiple markets.
The Role
- Reporting to the senior sales and marketing leader, you will take ownership of e-commerce performance while leading and developing a small specialist team.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and executing the e-commerce strategy across Australia, the UK and Europe
- Growing online revenue while maintaining strong alignment with established retail channels
- Leading, coaching and supporting a three-person e-commerce team
- Owning performance across Amazon, eBay, Kogan and the direct-to-consumer website
- Driving Amazon promotions, stock and FBA activity, Brand Stores and marketplace performance
- Overseeing the migration of the company website from BigCommerce to Shopify
- Ensuring product listings, descriptions, imagery, pricing and product data are accurate and optimised
- Improving online merchandising, product placement, promotional activity and conversion
- Managing external digital agency relationships, marketing budgets and campaign performance
- Supporting email marketing activity through Klaviyo
- Monitoring competitors, customer behaviour and e-commerce trends to identify growth opportunities
- Partnering closely with sales, retail, web operations and senior leadership
- Supporting major product and technology launches across local and international markets
- Ensuring e-commerce and marketing investment delivers a clear and measurable return
About You
- You will be an experienced e-commerce leader who combines strategic thinking with a willingness to remain close to execution.
To be successful, you will ideally bring:
- Proven e-commerce leadership experience within consumer electronics, durable consumer goods or another product-led environment
- Demonstrated experience growing e-commerce revenue for an established consumer brand
- Strong Amazon expertise, including marketplace optimisation, promotions, inventory or FBA and Brand Stores
- Experience across direct-to-consumer e-commerce and marketplaces such as eBay or Kogan
- Shopify experience, ideally including a website migration or major platform transformation
- Exposure to BigCommerce and Klaviyo
- A practical understanding of digital marketing, content, SEO, SEM and paid media
- Strong commercial capability across budgeting, agency management and ROI measurement
- Experience leading, coaching and structuring a small specialist team
- The ability to collaborate effectively across e-commerce, sales, retail, technology and leadership teams
- International e-commerce exposure, particularly across the UK or Europe, would be highly regarded
