Research Assistant/Administrator

Job Summary

Help us run one of the largest statistical finance research programmes in Europe. We are an investment and data science business operating at the forefront of our industry. We’re home to a large, collaborative R&D group comprising research scientists with backgrounds from across the applied sciences from PhD to Professor level. We seek a Research Administrator to provide high levels of professional admin support to Research Directors based in our Hammersmith office. You will be part of a small team of administrators helping Winton’s research programme to move forward successfully. The role will not include any personal support work.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing academic engagement
• Managing a large, complex schedule of research meetings
• Electronic filing, document management and version control (SharePoint)
• Some EA duties for senior researchers e.g. assistance with diary management and scheduling
• Servicing meetings including preparation of papers, minute taking, chasing on action points
• Project support for the Head of Research Administration including updating and maintaining project plans
• General administration duties 

Requirements

• Administrative support experience, ideally gained in a research environment
• Degree level education (ideally in a mathematical or scientific subject area) with evidence of attainment
• Experience with document management technologies (e.g. SharePoint)
• Experience of supporting senior staff
• Experience of servicing high level committees
• Experience with a range of technologies and software related to administration support
• A flexible attitude and creative approach to administration
